For nearly three decades, three Khans have dominated the Bollywood i.e, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. The top position was exchanged and occupied by these three Khans and no other hero surpassed them.
But in the last couple of years, King Khan, Shah Rukh could not deliver a single blockbuster and is clearly behind in race. Salman Khan mostly dominated by delivering Rs 100 crore and Rs 200 crore films regularly. In 2018 all three Khans have come up with disasters and it is quite shocking as if one Khan flops, the other would compensate every year.
First was Salman who released ‘Race 3’ for his favourite Ramzan holiday season. Though the film registered stunning numbers in the initial days, the collections dropped drastically. Then Aamir came with ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ for Diwali season. This film is one of the biggest disasters of Bollywood. Made with a budget of Rs 300 crore, ‘Thugs’ could not collect even half of it.
Last was Shah Rukh with the much hyped ‘ZERO.’ The film met with poor reviews and lukewarm response from audience. Once again Shah Rukh faced a setback and his flop marathon is continuing without any break.
This is a rare year that no Khan scored a hit and fans are quite disappointed. Will they bounce back or is it the end roads for the Khans’ domination, 2019 will be the answer.
