The financial capital of India, Mumbai has made history in real estate. One acre of land is reportedly got quoted for Rs 745 crore and it’s a Japanese company that had bid for a total of three acres of land. The total value of the land is Rs 2,238 crore.
Japanese multinational corporation (MNC) Sumitomo Corporation is planning to buy land to Mumbai and the plot is located at the prime Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) in central Mumbai. This bid is said to be the biggest in the country in recent times informed Dilip Kawathkar, Executive Director of Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).
The Bandra Kurla Complex is a prime commercial hub in Mumbai and has more than 300 odd buildings. Also Sumitomo Corporation is the only bid that came forward to buy this three acres of land. The officials said since Sumitomo is the only bid, we will take a call on the rest of the formalities.
