Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone has finally broken her silence amid the intense backlash she faced for not promoting her husband Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster film Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge.

For weeks, Deepika remained tight-lipped despite heavy trolling on social media over her absence from the film’s promotional campaign. However, she has now responded in her own signature style.

Reacting to an Instagram post that questioned whether her silence was “over-analysis” or a “calculated snub,” Deepika replied with a sharp comment:
“The latter, my friend… P.S. I watched it way before any of you did. Now who is the joke on?”

Her response quickly went viral, sparking fresh debate online.

The controversy initially erupted when Deepika was noticeably absent from the film’s special screening. Adding fuel to the fire, she was later spotted attending a concert in Mumbai alongside Ranveer, raising eyebrows among fans and critics alike.

Despite the noise, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, which hit theatres on March 19, continues to perform strongly at the box office, with Ranveer Singh receiving appreciation for his role.
