Daaku Maharaj: Balakrishna’s Song Sparks Buzz and Backlash
The highly anticipated film Daaku Maharaj, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, is already making waves. Within just two days, the theatrical trailer garnered an impressive 13 million views. Adding to the excitement, the song Dabidi Dabidi, featuring Balakrishna and Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela, has also crossed the 13 million milestone, quickly becoming a viral sensation.
However, the song’s energetic choreography has sparked mixed reactions. While some fans loved its vibrant appeal, others criticized the dance moves, particularly those performed by Balakrishna and Urvashi, questioning their appropriateness and Balakrishna’s image as an MLA.
Addressing the backlash, producer Naga Vamsi defended the song’s style and intent. “From filming to the final cut, I never found anything excessive. Linking Balayya’s reputation to this is unnecessary. We aimed for a mainstream appeal that resonates with a wider audience,” he said.
Despite the criticism, Vamsi highlighted the positive reception from many viewers. “Some might not have loved it, but those who did truly enjoyed it,” he added.
Directed by Bobby Kolli, known for his blockbuster hits, and featuring Bobby Deol as the antagonist, Daaku Maharaj remains one of the most talked-about releases of the year. With its growing buzz, the film continues to dominate conversations, undeterred by the controversy surrounding its chart-topping song.
