Born Albanian in 1910, but India’s citizen from 1948, Mother Theresa is the one you’re looking at in the picture. Born as Agnes, she has first joined the Sisters of Loretto to become a catholic nun to serve poor, and travelled to India to teach at St.Mary’s school in Calcutta. Shortly before coming to India, she attended a youth fair in Paris, and the picture was believed to be clicked there.
That grace and helping nature on her face is clearly evident from young age itself. Mother Theresa established Sisters of Charity in India which is now serving the poor in across 123 countries. She was awarded Bharat Ratna in 1980 and died due to illness on September 5th, 1997.
