Mahesh Babu & Rajamouli’s Epic Film Begins with Pooja Ceremony
The much-awaited film starring Superstar Mahesh Babu and directed by S.S. Rajamouli, one of India’s most renowned filmmakers, took a significant step forward today with its pooja ceremony. The simple but meaningful event took place at the Aluminium Factory on the outskirts of Hyderabad, with key figures like Rajamouli, Mahesh Babu, and other important personalities from the industry in attendance.
Although the film’s production has yet to begin and there is no official word on its completion or release timeline, actor Ram Charan, who is familiar with Rajamouli’s working style, offered an insightful prediction about the project’s schedule. At the trailer launch event for Game Changer, where Rajamouli was a chief guest, Charan was asked by a fan about the film’s release date. He responded optimistically, saying, “Unless something like COVID happens again, there’s no need for worry. The film will likely release in about a year and a half.”
Rajamouli, who took about five years to finish the Baahubali films, completed RRR in a shorter timeframe, but the pandemic led to a delay in its release. For Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film, significant pre-production work and rehearsals are underway. However, due to the immense scale of the film, industry experts speculate that it could take at least two years before the project is completed and ready for release.
Insiders believe that filming could commence as soon as January, with Mahesh Babu’s fans now hoping for the film’s release either in the latter half of 2026 or the early part of 2027.
