Story
Akansha (Catherine Tresa) is the daughter of Union Minister (Rao Ramesh). She moves to Spain for further studies and finds Komali’s (Amala Paul) personal diary in her room. The dairy encloses the love story of Komali (Amala Paul) and Sanju Reddy (Allu Arjun). Their love story ends abruptly and in the process of knowing further details Akanksha falls in love with Sanju and what happens next forms the crux.
Performances
Allu Arjun impresses once again with his stylish costumes and dance sequences. He succeeded to show the diverse emotions and also performed very well in performing stunts sequences.
Amala Paul had a decent role as Komali. She suited herself as Brahmin girl and her pairing with Allu Arjun is quite decent.
Catherine Tresa impresses everyone with her dance moves. She finely fits herself Akanksha and sends a message that she isn’t a hesitant of skin show in future.
Brahmanandam failed to impress as Phidel Brahma, and his scenes with Ali (Psycho Govind) are not at all tickling. Other casts are just adequate with their assigned roles.
Technical Analysis
Cinematography by Amol Rathod is first-class and the film looked quite colorful, Devi Sri’s music is good and the background score has required essence. Puri Jagannath’s direction is good while the screenplay is taut packed with racy entertainment. Editing isn’t crisp and lacks its pace at few moments. Production values of Parameshwara Art Productions are very lavish.
Analysis
Iddarammailatho story has nothing new to offer. The only thing that counts in this picture is highly technical standards and Allu Arjun’s stylish avatar. Director Puri Jagannadh has missed many key points which make the plot inconvincible. Unlike Puri’s previous movies, Iddarammailatho lacks Puri’s punch dialogs and comedy scenes by Brahmanandam and Ali are unbearable. The best part of movie is Allu Arjun’s performance in interval bang. He performed quite well in dance sequences and stunts. The only backdrop of this movie will be lengthy second half. Director Puri Jagannadh should have been more careful in trimming the unwanted scenes to maintain the constant pace and keep audience interesting.
Final Verdict
Predictable storyline and length second half makes Iddarammailatho an average film!!!
