NTR’s Epic Period-Action Drama with Prashanth Neel Set for 2026 Release
NTR is currently busy filming for WAR 2 and will soon transition to his next highly anticipated project with director Prashanth Neel, tentatively titled NTR-Neel. The film is slated for release on January 9th, 2026, giving fans exactly one year to eagerly await its debut.
Prashanth Neel has confirmed that the film will not be a mythological tale but instead a period-action drama. The director has dedicated nearly a year to meticulous pre-production, and the film will be shot on massive sets that Mythri Movie Makers has heavily invested in constructing to create an immersive cinematic experience.
The film’s cast will feature several international actors, with Rukmini Vasanth recently completing her look test and expressing excitement about sharing the screen with NTR. In addition, look tests for other pivotal roles are underway, with actors like Tovino Thomas and Biju Menon expected to play significant parts in the movie.
Filming is set to begin on January 17th in Mangalore, Karnataka, after which the team plans to shoot in international locations such as Sri Lanka, Mexico, and Ukraine. The production schedule is tight, with a seven-month timeline to complete the shoot.
NTR has reportedly allotted around 100 days for the project, and the film’s core team is aiming for a grand release during Sankranti 2026.
