The family of Anam Brothers is a dominant force in Nellore since the past few decades. This has reached to the extent that Nellore Brothers dared to to rechristen Sai Baba Temple as AC Sai Baba Temple using their influence.
AC Subbareddy (Anam Brothers uncle) is the first person from Anam Family to make foray into politics.
Whenever Anam Brothers were in power, They made sure that all the key structures in Nellore were named after either their Uncle AC Subbareddy or Father Anam Venkat Reddy who served as Minister. In the same manner, Rythu Market in Nellore-Madras Bus Stand Centre got the name ‘AC Subbareddy Kuragayala Market Samudayamu’.
A Sai Baba Temple was erected 15 years ago just before this Rythu Bazar and it has been receiving huge donations off late due to the heavy floating of people in the locality. After completion of the renovation works recently, The name of the temple has been rechristened as A.C Sai Baba Temple and a massive publicity campaign is being launched on the eve of Guru Pournami to popularize the new name.
As the development drew criticism, Temple Authorities have been trying to downplay it by saying the letters ‘A’ & ‘C’ were placed before Saibaba just because two Air Conditioners have been set up in the temple for the sake of devotees. Only Anam Brothers or Sai Baba could know the actually mystery by ‘AC’?
