In a biggest ever cyber haul, at least 3 crore user profiles have been hacked on Ashley Madison, the famous cheating website that offers its users chances of having extramarital affairs. With its motto “Life is short. Have an affair,” Ashley Madison stormed the lives of 3 crore families in Canada, after the hackers published all the names of the adultery website’s users on the internet.

The expose has been so serious and daunting to the account holders that two people whose names were revealed committed suicide, leading to the Ashley Madison’s Canadian owned company Avid Life Media announce C$500,000 reward to those who give information about the hackers.

The hackers, apparently demanded a huge sum of money from the website admins in exchange of the 10 gigabytes of data of the 3 crore profiles that they stole. Upon the refusal of the deal, the hackers published the profiles of the users, mostly married men who were looking to cheat on their wives.

Hollywood celebs, members of the British Parliament, lawyers, journalists, college professors, military officials, federal employees and judges etc were on the list of exposed users.
