Sexual abuses and atrocities against men is not a new fad in India anymore. On Sunday, a man named Shiva Kumar from Bellavi in Tumkur district in Karnataka sought help from police accusing his girlfriend and live-in partner of 2 years of forcing him to have sex and then deserting him eventually.
In his complaint, the man alleged that he was sexually exploited and cheated by his girlfriend in the name of love. Surprisingly, he even requested the police to get her back to him. Shiva revealed that he and his girlfriend met in the same neighborhood and have been in love for the last 2 years.
Shiva further alleged that the girl later tortured him to accept her love until he finally gave in. Shiva even alleged that the girl forced him to have sex against his wish and even got pregnant, following which her parents blackmailed him and extorted Rs 30,000 from him to get her aborted.
However, the couple continued to have sex and Shiva spent nearly Rs 5 lakh towards her expenses. The dejected lover alleged that his girlfriend has been absconding since September. Shiva claims that he is not worried about the money but that he can’t marry anyone else since he was sexually exploited.
Apparently, the police refused to take his complaint, prompting Shiva to approach media and question why complaints can’t be filed in male rape cases. “Had it been to a girl, everyone makes it a big issue, but in the case of a man, everyone ridicules,” lamented Shiva.
