The Andhra Pradesh High Court has issued a directive to modify the timing of benefit shows for the upcoming Sankranti releases. According to the latest order, permission has been granted for a maximum of five shows per day, with the early morning 1 AM and 4 AM shows being called off.
This decision will affect the release schedules of the much-anticipated films Daku Maharaj and Sankranthi Ki Vastunnam. While Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Daku Maharaj is set to hit screens on January 12, Venkatesh’s Sankranthi Ki Vastunnam will follow on January 14. Despite the restriction on early morning shows, the permission for a ticket price hike remains intact, allowing makers to ensure profitability within the allotted five shows.
The reasoning behind this adjustment remains unclear, but both films are expected to maintain strong momentum at the box office. Promotional campaigns for both releases are in full swing, setting the stage for a thrilling Sankranti season for moviegoers.
