This seems to be the season where all the leading actresses in Tollywood are taking the extra responsibility of dubbing for their films. It was Nayanthara who led the pack by lending her voice for the first time with Krish’s Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum.
Following suit, star heroines like Samantha, Tamannaah, Rakul Preet, Regina and even Kajal thrilled their fans by dubbing for their roles. While Samantha and Rakul were appreciated for their dubbing efforts, the soon to be released Oopiri and Sardaar Gabbar Singh will showcase Tamannaah and Kajal’s expertise behind the microphone.
This leaves us with only Anushka and Shruti Haasan from the top bracket heroines who are yet to prove their dubbing skills. Anushka has completed 11 years in the industry and speaks fluent Telugu, but she never attempted own dubbing.
On the other hand, Shruti sang a few songs in Telugu but is yet to dub for a film. The latest we hear is that Shruti evinced interest in dubbing for Premam and the makers are yet to take a final call.
