Sankranthi Showdown: Films Gear Up with Promotions
The upcoming Sankranthi season promises a thrilling box office clash with multiple major releases set to make waves. With just ten days left, the excitement is building, and the film industry is gearing up for a celebration of unlimited entertainment. The first release to hit the screens will be Game Changer, starring Ram Charan, followed closely by Sankranthi Ki Vastunnam and Daaku Maharaaj. Among these, Sankranthi Ki Vastunnam seems to be leading the charge in terms of promotional activities, ticking all the right boxes.
Victory Venkatesh’s much-awaited Sankranthi Ki Vastunnam will hit theaters on January 14th. The film also stars Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female leads, with Anil Ravipudi at the helm. The film’s promotional strategy has been aggressive and well-coordinated, with each song release making a significant impact. From early on, the film’s promotional team has built a strong buzz, and their most recent effort—a recreated look of Venkatesh’s iconic characters by the film’s lead cast and crew—has become a viral hit, keeping the movie trending on social media. The team’s strategic marketing approach, including a series of engaging interviews and events, has positioned Sankranthi Ki Vastunnam to have a solid opening.
In contrast, Game Changer has been a bit more measured in its promotional phase. While the team has released a teaser and held a pre-release event in Dallas, the major push is expected after today’s trailer launch. The team is planning a full-throttle promotional blitz, with events slated in major cities like Mumbai and Chennai. A grand pre-release event in Rajahmundry on January 4th, featuring Pawan Kalyan, is expected to add momentum. With the film’s release scheduled for January 10th, the team is hoping this boost will set things in motion for a successful box office run.
Meanwhile, Daaku Maharaaj, starring Balakrishna, has largely focused its promotional efforts on the Unstoppable with NBK show and a single press conference with the director and producer. Beyond a few song releases, the film’s promotional activities have been relatively low-key. However, producer Vamsy is counting on the trailer launch in the USA to strengthen the film’s overseas presence and boost pre-bookings. With Daaku Maharaaj slated for release on January 12th, the team will be hoping that its final push in the coming days will generate the buzz needed to make a strong impact.
So far, Sankranthi Ki Vastunnam seems to have mastered the art of promotions, setting a high bar for the other films to follow as they enter the final stretch before their releases.
