Director Anil Ravipudi and Sandeep Reddy Vanga are celebrated for their distinct filmmaking styles, yet Anil holds immense admiration for Sandeep’s work. In a recent interview, Anil revealed that he jokingly requested a small role in Sandeep’s upcoming film Spirit.

Sharing the humorous exchange, Anil recalled Sandeep’s playful response: “You’re always busy making back-to-back movies. Do you even have time to act in my film?” While Anil didn’t disclose his reply, the camaraderie between the two filmmakers was evident.

Reflecting on their contrasting styles, Anil candidly admitted, “Even if I try for ten more years, I cannot make films like Sandeep. Likewise, Sandeep cannot create movies in my style.” He emphasized, “Every filmmaker has their unique storytelling approach.”

Anil also praised Sandeep’s recent blockbuster Animal, specifically highlighting Marathi actor Upendra Limaye’s powerful performance. Inspired by Upendra’s role, Anil cast him in Sankranthiki Vastunnam, where the actor showcased his comedic prowess, earning rave reviews for his entertaining performance.

Although Anil’s request for a role in Spirit may have been in jest, his creativity in promotional videos and public appearances hints at his potential as an actor. It wouldn’t be surprising if he steps in front of the camera someday.

Currently, Anil is basking in the success of Sankranthiki Vastunnam and is gearing up for his next project, a highly anticipated collaboration with megastar Chiranjeevi. Fans are excited to see what’s next from this talented director!
