Nandamuri Balakrishna, who occasionally conducts charity programmes to raise funds for Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital, now the fans of Balayya has recently organized a special charity show of his father Sr NTR’s iconic film, ‘Daana Veera Soora Karna’.
The charity show was held on 12th August in Sydney, Australia organised by Krishna Devineni, and the response was terrific. A prime theatre in Sydney was chosen to screen the legendary Telugu film and all the tickets, about 450 were booked well in advance. The amount raised through this charity show has reportedly been deposited in Basavatarakam Hospital’s account, and it will be used for facilitating needy services for the poor.
Buoyed by the response from Telugu NRIs, Balakrishna’s team is now planning to hold similar charity shows of DVSK and a few other classics starring Sr NTR in places across the world wherever there is sizable Telugu diaspora.
