75 Thousand Indians pack bags to India from the US

It doesn’t feel good when your own selection turns against you. The same is the situation with thousands of Indians who are currently working in the US. During the 2017 US Presidential elections, many American Indians voted Donald Trump hoping that he would be a pro-Indian community.

But shockingly, after Donal Trump became the President of the US, his actions spoke louder. After Trump signed on the ‘Buy American, Hire American’ policy, things took a drastic turn. Many companies are now forced to hire American workers over Indian counterparts.

After the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) further tightened H-1B Visas requirements, and thousands of Green-Card applications waiting for approval, many Indians are taking a flight back to their homeland.

Normally, an extension of two to three years of H-1B was permitted in the past. With the new set of rules in place, the extension of ‘HB-1’ visas turned to be a nightmare to Indians. Many IT employees have no choice except to return to India.

Experts estimate that 50,000 to 75,000 Indian IT employees will be returning India in the coming two years.
