Despite having only two films to his name, youngster Akhil Akkineni is enjoying nice following and also hype in brand circles. That’s the reason he has come out with an ad for a popular watch brand and also a soft drink much before he debuted as a hero.
After featuring in the ads of Titan and Mountain Dew, if you think that his two flops have affected his brand value, then you’re wrong. Because Akhil has turned mascot for a shopping mall and also busy doing some ribbon-cutting events big time. Other day he appeared at a gym to inaugurate the pumping of iron.
Few insiders revealed that Akhil charged nearly 8 lakhs for his 15 minutes appearance at the gym along with heroine Lavanya Tripathi. Generally, the likes of some starlets including Kajal and Tamanna command such a price for ribbon cuttings, but a two-film old hero making the similar demand is rare.
On the films front, Akhil is working with director Venky Atluri of Tholiprema fame and their film is being shot in London and Hyderabad. Nidhie Aggerwal is the leading lady of this film.
