After nearly a month and half of the horrific incident, Biodiversity flyover has opened to commuters on Saturday. Before reopening it, Hyderabad Mayor Rammohan and Commissioner of Police, Sajjanar checked the safety measures that were undertaken post the incident following the suggestions of experts committee.
Speaking on this occasion, Mayor Rammohan said, for nearly a month or so, the experts committee has observed the traffic on flyover and suggested the necessary measures to be taken for the safety of commuters and people.
CP Sajjanar appealed to the commuters to control the speed on the flyover. “Biodiversity flyover is constructed with international standards but unfortunately a couple of mishaps have taken place. If the commuters drive safely following the traffic rules, such accidents can be avoided. We will take strict action against violators,” said Sajjanar.
On November 23rd, 2019, a speeding car fell from the Biodiversity flyover and in this, a woman who was waiting below the flyover died on the spot while several were injured including the car driver.
