Rashmika Mandanna is reportedly entering a bold heroine-centric phase. After the success of The Girlfriend, buzz online suggests she might be teaming up again with director Venky Kudumula, following their hit Bheeshma. The new project is said to be a biopic based on the life of late Telugu actress Pratyusha.

While nothing has been officially confirmed, Rashmika is believed to have heard the script and given her nod. If true, this could be a career-defining role, given the emotional depth and sensitivity required. Pratyusha’s real-life story is heart-wrenching—born in Bhuvanagiri, losing her father early, raised by a school-teacher mother, starting modeling young, and entering films at 17. She acted in Telugu and Tamil movies between 1998 and 2002 and tragically passed away at just 20, making national headlines.

Fans are already drawing comparisons with Mahanati, hoping Rashmika can deliver the same emotional resonance in this potential biopic.
