Following the commercial success of Good Bad Ugly, actor Ajith Kumar is set to collaborate once again with director Adhik Ravichandran for an upcoming project tentatively titled AK64. Currently in pre-production, the film is scheduled to begin shooting in October 2025, with a planned theatrical release in summer 2026.

Initially developed under Mythri Movie Makers, who backed their previous venture, the project has now moved to Romeo Pictures, with producer Raahul taking over the reins. Expectations are high, as Good Bad Ugly performed well at the Tamil Nadu box office and built strong word-of-mouth among fans and critics alike.

The latest confirmed addition to the cast is Telugu actress Sreeleela. While her role is significant, early reports suggest she may not be paired opposite Ajith. That lead role is reportedly in talks with Srinidhi Shetty, known for her performances in KGF and Hit 3.

Interestingly, Sreeleela was earlier considered for Good Bad Ugly for the role that eventually went to Priya Prakash Varrier—one that gained popularity thanks to the viral success of the remix track Thottu Thottu Pesum Sulthana. Despite a few recent setbacks, Sreeleela remains a sought-after talent, currently balancing projects across industries including her Hindi debut and a Tamil film with director Sudha Kongara and actor Sivakarthikeyan titled Parasakthi.

On the music front, AK64 marks the reunion of Ajith Kumar and composer Anirudh Ravichander, a collaboration that has previously yielded successful soundtracks and heightened anticipation for the film’s album.

With a strong creative team, returning collaborators, and mounting buzz following the success of Good Bad Ugly, AK64 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Tamil releases of 2026.
