Interestingly, this upcoming film will share the spotlight with the much-anticipated War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR. In the last two years alone, Rashmika has delivered three massive hits, grossing over ₹3,000 crore worldwide, solidifying her position as one of the busiest and most bankable actresses in the industry.

After recent blockbusters like Chhava and Kubera, Rashmika will soon be seen in Thama, a Hindi comedy-horror directed by Aditya Sarpotdar. The film also stars Ayushmann Khurrana in a pivotal role. According to the makers, Thama is part of Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe, which already includes hits like Stree and Bhediya.

Here’s the interesting twist — on August 14, when War 2 and Param Sundari hit theatres, the makers are planning to release a 1 minute 50 seconds teaser of Thama during the intermission of these films in select theatres across India. Dinesh Vijan is reportedly in talks with exhibitors nationwide to make this unique cross-promotion happen, aiming to capture the massive footfall expected for War 2. With War 2 already carrying ₹500 crore box office expectations, Thama could benefit immensely from this exposure.

Thama is touted to be Bollywood’s first big-scale vampire film, made on a budget of ₹500 crore. The team is confident that, like Stree 2, which grossed over ₹500 crore last year, Thama will strike the right chord with audiences. However, industry insiders note that while Bollywood has attempted many horror-fantasy films in the past, not all have lived up to the hype, leaving curiosity about whether Thama can truly deliver on its grand expectations.
