Legal Trouble Delays Marathi The Raja Saab Yet Again
The horror-comedy The Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi, has been plagued by repeated delays and is still incomplete. Its release has now been pushed yet again—from December 5, 2025, to January 9, 2026.
Adding to its troubles, Delhi-based Ivy Entertainment has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against the film’s production company, People Media Factory (PMF), alleging major breaches of contractual obligations and seeking a permanent injunction.
According to media reports, Ivy Entertainment had invested ₹218 crore for the film’s theatrical rights. The company now demands a full refund along with 18% annual interest, accusing producer TG Vishwa Prasad of violating the agreement and refusing to return the funds.
The petition also names PMF directors Vishwa Prasad Tumbalam Gooty and Subramanya Vivekananda Kuchibhotla, as well as post-production vendors Deccan Dreams Animations LLP, Prasad Xtreme Digital Cinema Network, Qube Cinema Technologies, and UFO Moviez. Ivy is requesting a court order to prevent them from working on or handling the film without its approval.
With this legal dispute unfolding, The Raja Saab faces yet another major setback, casting uncertainty over its planned January 2026 release.
