The long wait is over! The much-anticipated first look of Aamir Khan from Superstar Rajinikanth’s Coolie has finally been revealed, confirming weeks of speculation about his role in the film. While rumors of a cameo had been circulating for some time, the makers have now officially introduced Aamir’s character — Dahaa — with a striking poster.
In the poster, Aamir sports a rugged, intense look, complete with a thick beard and a casual vest. He holds a smoking pipe, with smoke curling around him, setting a gritty tone for what promises to be a high-voltage mass entertainer. Though it’s a cameo, Aamir recently confirmed that his character appears during the film’s climax and plays a crucial role. Sources say Dahaa has been designed to make a powerful impact, leaving a lasting impression despite the limited screen time.
Adding to the film’s massive buzz is its impending box-office clash with War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, set for release on August 14. With Coolie releasing in IMAX, DBOX, and 4DX formats, the stage is set for one of the most talked-about face-offs this Independence Day.
But that’s not all — Aamir also teased an exciting future collaboration with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for a full-length superhero film, signaling his return to big-screen action in a big way.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Sun Pictures, Coolie stars Rajinikanth in the lead, along with a stellar ensemble cast including Nagarjuna, Upendra, Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir, and Shruti Haasan. Music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with action choreography handled by the renowned Anbariv duo.
