Actor Srikanth, also known as Sriram in Telugu cinema, has found himself embroiled in a controversy after being reportedly summoned by Chennai police over alleged drug use. The Commissionerate of Prohibition and Excise in Chennai has summoned the actor based on allegations that he illegally procured and consumed narcotic substances.

According to sources, Srikanth is currently undergoing a medical examination at the Government Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital to determine the presence of any banned substances in his system. The issue came to light after the arrest of a man named Pradeep Kumar from Salem, whose blood tests reportedly confirmed drug use.

Following this, another individual named John was also taken into custody. As investigations continued and surveillance expanded, the police arrested more individuals, which eventually led to the actor’s name surfacing in connection with drug consumption. Reports further claim that Srikanth allegedly bought drugs from a person identified as Prasad.

If medical reports confirm the presence of narcotics in his system, Srikanth could face significant legal consequences under applicable drug laws.

Srikanth gained fame with films like Okariki Okaru and Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule, and has been a familiar face in Telugu and Tamil cinema. This controversy marks a serious turn in his career, pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
