Actor Adivi Sesh recently addressed the speculations surrounding Shruti Haasan’s exit from his upcoming bilingual action drama Dacoit. Initially announced with Shruti in the lead role opposite Sesh, the film later saw Mrunal Thakur replacing her — a change that sparked rumors of a fallout between the two actors.
In a recent interview, Sesh put all the rumors to rest, stating unequivocally that there was no dispute or disagreement between him and Shruti. He clarified that Shruti’s departure from the project had nothing to do with personal differences. Instead, it was simply a matter of working styles.
“She was working on Coolie at the time, and I was moving at my own pace with Dacoit. That didn’t align with her schedule or comfort, and she chose to step away,” Sesh explained, emphasizing that the decision was mutual and without controversy.
Sesh went on to express his appreciation for Mrunal Thakur, who came on board the project without delay. “I narrated the script to her at 10 AM, and by 2 PM the same day, she confirmed her participation,” he revealed.
Dacoit, which is being directed by Shaneil Deo and produced by Annapurna Studios, is shaping up to be a gripping action drama. The film is being shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, and as of now, 60% of the filming has already been completed.
