Adobe and YouTube have announced a new partnership at Adobe MAX 2025 to bring professional-grade video editing tools directly to creators on YouTube Shorts. The collaboration introduces Create for YouTube Shorts, a dedicated content creation space that will soon be available within Adobe Premiere mobile.

The integration brings exclusive templates, transitions, effects, and a direct publishing workflow, making it easier for creators to produce polished short-form videos and share them instantly to YouTube Shorts.

The announcement was made on stage by Ely Greenfield, CTO and SVP, Digital Media at Adobe, and Scott Silver, VP of Engineering at YouTube.

“We’re excited to partner with YouTube to give creators the power to produce, share, and grow on the world’s biggest stage,” Greenfield said, noting Shorts’ role as a global launchpad for creators.

Silver added that YouTube aims to “meet creators where they are,” and that the integration will provide more editing choices and advanced features to support storytelling at scale.

Creators will be able to:

Access exclusive effects, transitions, and title presets

Customize ready-made templates for professional-quality videos

Design and share their own templates with the community

Publish directly to YouTube Shorts in one tap

Premiere mobile users also get access to Adobe’s latest technologies, including Generative Sound Effects, Firefly-driven AI features, and advanced audio-video adjustments.

Initially introduced in September, Premiere mobile is designed for the new wave of mobile-first video creators. The Create for YouTube Shorts integration will roll out soon, unifying Adobe’s editing ecosystem with YouTube’s rapidly expanding short-form video platform.
