An Air India Express flight from Hyderabad to Phuket experienced a nose-wheel issue upon landing at Phuket International Airport on Wednesday, the airline confirmed.

According to sources, flight operations at the airport were temporarily suspended after the aircraft became stuck on the runway.

In an official statement, Air India Express said that flight IX 938, operating on March 11, “experienced a technical issue with the nose wheel upon arrival. The crew followed all standard protocols, and passengers were safely deplaned.”

The aircraft involved was a Boeing 737 Max 8, though the exact number of passengers on board has not been disclosed.

Flight tracking data from Flightradar24 indicated that the flight departed Hyderabad at 6:42 am, slightly later than its scheduled 6:20 am departure, and landed at Phuket at 11:40 am local time.

The nose wheel, a critical component of an aircraft’s landing gear, is essential for steering and stabilizing the aircraft during taxiing, takeoff, and landing.
