Ajith Wins Best Actor at Osaka Tamil International Film Festival

Ajith’s impressive success continues as he celebrates his 54th birthday today, marking not only personal milestones but also professional triumphs. His latest film, Good Bad Ugly, has crossed a significant Rs 200 crore at the box office, adding to his growing list of achievements. Recently, Ajith was honored with the prestigious Padma Bhushan award, and now, his international recognition continues with another major accolade.

At the Osaka Tamil International Film Festival, which bridges the Tamil and Japanese film industries, Ajith was named Best Actor for his powerful performance in Thunivu. This prestigious award ceremony, held on Wednesday, also saw Trisha earning the Best Actress award for her portrayal in Leo. Leo led the ceremony with six major wins, while Vetrimaaran received the Best Director award for Vidudalai Part 1, and AR Rahman was recognized as Best Music Director for his compositions in Maamannan and Ponniyin Selvan 2.

Other standout winners included Chiyaan Vikram, who won Best Supporting Actor for Ponniyin Selvan 2, and Aishwarya Rai, who took home the Best Supporting Actress award for the same film. Fahadh Fazil was named Best Villain for his role in Maamannan, while Leo earned multiple technical awards, including Best Choreography, Editing, Stunt Direction, Art Direction, and Sound Design. Goodnight was also recognized as the Best Production House of the year.
