The powerful combination of Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Sreenu has never failed to deliver a mass blockbuster, and their last outing Akhanda was no exception — completing a successful hat-trick. Now, all eyes are on the highly anticipated sequel, Akhanda 2: Thandavam, which is currently progressing swiftly with its shoot in Hyderabad.
In an exciting update, Harshaali Malhotra — the child actress who stole hearts in Bajrangi Bhaijaan — has joined the cast in a key role. Her character, named Janani, was revealed through a charming first-look poster where she appears graceful in a traditional half saree.
Director Boyapati Sreenu and his team are working against the clock to wrap up the project on time. With most of the shooting completed, only a few scenes and a special song remain. Meanwhile, post-production work, including CGI, is being carried out at a rapid pace.
Produced by Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, and presented by M Tejaswini Nandamuri, Akhanda 2 is all set for a grand release this Dussehra, hitting screens on September 25th. The sequel promises to be a visual spectacle with the same high-octane energy fans have come to expect from this dynamic actor-director duo.
