Nearly 50 crore rupees business has happened for the debut film of Akkineni Akhil. If we have to go by this craze, his debut film “Akhil” needs to click big time to make those numbers a reality for distributors. If he has to bring 50 crores share, then the gross target is nearly 100 crores for sure. But what for this debutant is aiming at such a high slot? Let’s decode this mystery now.

King Nagarjuna has been hailed as one of the pillars of Telugu cinema alongside Chiru, Balayya and Venky after the wrapping of NTR-ANR-Krishna era. Much to anyone’s expectation, Nag never fared big and none of his latest movies touched 40-crore-mark in terms of revenues, baring Manam, which released under different circumstances.

Even Naga Chaitanya got limited to that 20-25 crore spot and is not venturing into the big league of Charan’s and NTR’s. For that reason, Akhil needs to start things with a bang. If he makes debut like his half-brother Chaitu, then he wouldn’t be able to catapult into that 50 crore club.

So, roping in VV Vinayak, it’s his dad Nagarjuna who chalked out this plan of launching Akhil as a star, than as a star-kid. Vinayak’s name, Nitin’s investment, mind blowing visuals and a fantastic action-teaser helped the film get the business done.

Now that they are carving a tremendous publicity plan, recovering the budget would be a cake-walk provided with the fact that Vinayak’s content clicks with masses all the time. A 100 crore target is what the youngster aims at, not just for creating records but to cement his career in industry as a super star with just one flick.

Like a bullet released from gun, Akhil flies with mighty force just from 1st film rather establishing as an actor first, big hero later and getting star-status later. In a way, Akhil will be making the dreams of Nagarjuna and also Chaitu come true by unveiling himself as a super-start from day one after his grand-dad ANR.
