Akkineni Samantha, the Tollywood diva is known for her versatility as an actress and her choices of films like ‘Rangasthalam’, ‘Majili’ and ‘U-Turn’ which made her the star today. But the recent failure of ‘Jaanu’ proved to be dearest for her career. Promised by producer Dil Raju that it would be a safe bet, Samantha accepted to play Trisha’s role but her hopes went in vain as the film tanked at the Box office.
After the debacle of ‘Jaanu’, few people on twitter called her a flop star and angered her saying Rashmika Mandanna is the most wanted leading lady right now. Furious Samantha questioned the audience who always watched flop movies of their favorite actors irrespective of the content but why feel bad about leading ladies. This venting only created displeasure for Twitterati who said Samantha to work on better films and dared her not to think about the lead actors who make the audience pick a ticket at the Box Office.
On the work front, Samantha is starring in Vignesh Shivan’s directorial ‘Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal’ alongside Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. The other film starring Prashanth, a budding character artist only to outshine him with her role said the Twitterati…wonder how she would react now?
