Akshay brings the heroics of Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan

Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar who is striking gold at the box office with his recent outing Sooryavanshi has an interesting lineup of films that are in the production stage. He will be seen next in the magnum opus Prithviraj that is based on the life story of famous king Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan. Akshay Kumar is playing the titular role in the upcoming film.

The teaser from the upcoming film was dropped recently which gives us an insight into the scale of the film. The short teaser starts with details of the troops that stood with Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan and how he stood for pride and Valour.

Prithviraj marks the first historic film for Akshay Kumar. Sanjay Dutt is essaying the role of Muhammad of Ghor. We can witness the fight between the two personalities on the silver screen. Former Miss India Manushi Chhillar is entering the showbiz with Prithviraj. She is playing Rani Sanyogita in the film. Prithviraj also stars real hero Sonu Sood and the teaser shows a glimpse of him. However, there is no clarity on the character he is playing in the upcoming film.

Sharing the teaser, Akshay Kumar said, he is feeling proud to essay the role of Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan. In the tweet, Akshay announced January 21st as the release date. ‘A heroic story about pride and valour. Proud to play Samrat #Prithviraj Chauhan. Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Prithviraj is based on the famous Brajbhasha epic poem Prithviraj Raso by poet Chand Bardai. One of the leading Bollywood production houses Yash Raj Films is bankrolling the high ticket film with compromising as Prithviraj marks the 50th film from the production house.

Besides Prithviraj, Akshay Kumar also has Ram Setu in his kitty which is undergoing shoot at a quick pace. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nushrratt Bharuccha, and Satyadev in key roles. Akshay Kumar is essaying the role of the archaeologist in Ram Setu which is said to be based on the theories surrounding the Ram Setu.

Ken Karunaas’ Youth Set for Telugu Release

The upcoming Tamil youthful entertainer Youth, directed by and starring Ken Karunaas, is already generating considerable buzz among movie lovers. With a lively musical album composed by GV Prakash Kumar and a trailer filled with energetic youth vibes, the film has quickly become one of the most anticipated releases in the coming weeks. The tone and entertainment value of the movie are expected to connect well with audiences who enjoyed youthful romantic entertainers like Premalu and the recent Telugu hit Little Hearts.

The Telugu theatrical rights of the film have been acquired by Housefull Vineeth and Sandeep under the banner E2C Talkies. This marks an important step for the duo as they enter film distribution after previously establishing themselves in the marketing space.

To mark the announcement of the Telugu release, the makers unveiled the film’s first-look poster, which was launched by young actor Kiran Abbavaram. Known for encouraging new talent and content-driven projects, Kiran supported the team by unveiling the poster and extending his wishes for the film.

Ken Karunaas, who earlier appeared in supporting roles in films like Asuran and Sir starring Dhanush and directed by Venky Atluri, is making his directorial debut with this project while also playing the lead role.

The first-look poster offers a glimpse into the film’s youthful theme. It shows Ken riding a bike with three girls seated alongside him, all dressed in school uniforms, hinting at a story revolving around teenage infatuation, friendships, and the emotional ups and downs of young love.

The film also features a strong supporting cast that includes Devadarshini, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Anishma Anilkumar, Priyanshi Yadav, and Meenakshi Dinesh. On the technical side, the film features cinematography by Viki and editing by Nash, while the music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar.

Youth is produced by Karuppiah C Ram and Sulochana Kumar under the banners Paarvathaa Entertainments and Street Boy Studios. The Tamil version of the film is scheduled to release in theatres on March 19, while the Telugu version is expected to arrive about a week later.
