In the popular Hera Pheri film series, Paresh Rawal is best known for his iconic role as Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, alongside Suniel Shetty and Akshay Kumar in lead roles. However, Rawal’s recent and sudden exit from the franchise has left everyone shocked.
Following this unexpected departure, Akshay Kumar — who also serves as one of the producers of Hera Pheri 3 — took legal action against Rawal. Pooja Tidke, Joint Managing Partner of Parinam Law Associates representing Akshay’s production banner, spoke to PTI, stating, “There will be serious legal consequences. It has already hurt the franchise. Expenses have been incurred for the cast, crew, senior actors, logistics, equipment, and even the shooting of the trailer.”
Despite the legal tangle, Akshay Kumar remained hopeful during a promotional interview for Kannappa, saying, “Whatever is happening is happening in front of you. Keeping my fingers crossed — I hope everything goes well.”
Meanwhile, Akshay’s career continues to flourish. Fresh off the success of Housefull 5, he will next appear in Kannappa, where he plays the role of Lord Shiva.
