On the occasion of Allari Naresh’s birthday, the makers of his upcoming film Alcohol unveiled its striking first look poster. Touted to be a gripping thriller, the film is directed by Meher Tej of Family Drama fame and jointly produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments, Srikara Studios, and Fortune Four Cinemas.
The first look poster immediately captures attention, with Naresh’s silhouette creatively blended into a swirl of alcohol — a symbolic design that hints at deeper layers in the story. Interestingly, despite the film’s title, sources reveal that Naresh’s character doesn’t consume alcohol in the film, suggesting a metaphorical twist that will only be revealed upon release.
Allari Naresh, known for his comic roles, has been consciously reinventing himself with impactful performances in films like Naandhi, Ugram, and Maredumilli Prajaneekam. With Alcohol, he continues to explore intense and unconventional narratives, adding another genre-bending film to his evolving repertoire.
Director Meher Tej made a strong impression with his OTT debut Family Drama, which was widely praised for its gripping storytelling and performances. His sophomore directorial, Alcohol, promises to deliver another edge-of-the-seat experience, laced with Naresh’s trademark subtle humour.
Ruhani Sharma plays the female lead, while the film’s music is being composed by Ghibran, known for his intense and atmospheric scores. With over 50% of the shoot already completed, the makers are expected to announce the release date soon.
Alcohol is shaping up to be a distinctive thriller that blends mystery, metaphor, and performance-driven storytelling — with Allari Naresh in a never-seen-before avatar.
