Allu Aravind’s New Strategy: Creating Producers Instead of Films

Share

Mega producer Allu Aravind seems to be adopting a new strategy in Tollywood—one that focuses on creating and supporting new producers rather than backing films directly under his banner Geetha Arts.

After delivering a blockbuster like Ala Vaikuntapurramuloo, Geetha Arts hasn’t produced many direct films but has actively funded and acquired several projects. Over time, Allu Aravind has encouraged talents like Bunny Vasu, SKN, and Dheeraj Mogilineni by investing in their ventures and helping them establish themselves as producers.

Now, industry reports suggest that he is expanding this approach further. Instead of producing films himself, Aravind is reportedly lending financial support to aspiring producers at a nominal interest rate, while ensuring that the films are distributed through his well-established network. This move is being seen as a strategic attempt to build a wider content ecosystem.

Interestingly, he is also said to be encouraging individuals associated with Aha to step into production, with plans underway for projects backed by key members from the platform. At the same time, he has reportedly invested in a new film featuring Allari Naresh, produced by newcomers Ajith Thakur and BVS Ravi.

While some observers feel that the GA2 banner has become less prominent in recent times, others see this as a calculated move. Rather than operating like large production houses such as Dharma Productions, Allu Aravind appears to be empowering multiple creators, ensuring a steady flow of content for his distribution and exhibition channels.
