Allu Arjun and Atlee’s Raaka is currently progressing with its shooting schedule in Mumbai, which is expected to continue until the end of this month. Reports suggest that Allu Arjun’s portions in the film will be wrapped up by August or September this year, after which the project will move into an extensive post-production phase due to heavy VFX and CG work. The first look poster itself indicates the massive visual effects involved in the film, and the makers are reportedly planning a grand theatrical release by December 2027.
Meanwhile, director Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently working on his acting project in Tamil, which is expected to be completed by July or August. Once wrapped, he will begin developing the script, aiming to finalize it by December.
On the other hand, Allu Arjun is also planning his next big project, tentatively titled #AA23, which is expected to go on floors around December or January, with a target release in December 2028.
In addition, filmmaker Basil Joseph had reportedly approached Allu Arjun with a script a year ago. While the actor appreciated the concept, he felt it might not suit a full-fledged star vehicle. Basil is currently revising the script and continuing narrations, but the project is yet to be locked. If things don’t materialize, Geetha Arts may consider producing the film with another lead actor.
