The Pushpa star, who is currently teaming up with director Atlee for a massive pan-India film, is said to be charging a staggering ₹175 crore — surpassing Prabhas’s usual fee range.
Industry insiders reveal that this very remuneration debate was one of the key reasons behind the project’s delay. Both Allu Arjun and Atlee, riding high on the success of Pushpa 2 and Jawan respectively, stood firm on their terms before finalizing the deal after weeks of intense discussions.
The yet-untitled film is reportedly a science-fiction adventure, mounted on a jaw-dropping ₹700 crore budget. Of that, around ₹260 crore has been set aside exclusively for VFX and graphics, making it one of the costliest Indian films ever made.
Apart from Allu Arjun, Deepika Padukone stars as the female lead, while Sai Abhyankar will compose the music. The film is being bankrolled by Sun Pictures with grand production values.
With this massive paycheck, Allu Arjun has now officially emerged as Tollywood’s highest-paid actor, setting a new benchmark for star salaries in Indian cinema.
