Iconic actor Allu Arjun recently shared his thoughts on the global impact of Indian storytelling during a candid conversation with Barun Das at the News9 Global Summit – WAVES Edition. The engaging discussion delved into various aspects of his life and career, offering a glimpse into the journey of one of South India’s biggest stars.
Speaking about his film industry roots, Allu Arjun acknowledged the significant advantage of being part of a family deeply entrenched in cinema. “I’m very fortunate to have the support of my entire family,” he said. “While many in the North may not be aware, people in the South, especially in the Telugu-speaking regions, know that my grandfather, Allu Ramalingaiah, was a legendary actor who appeared in around 1,000 films — one of the highest in the country. My father, Allu Aravind, is a renowned producer in the South, having produced nearly 70 films. And of course, my uncle, Megastar Chiranjeevi garu, is one of my greatest inspirations.”
Allu Arjun went on to say that being surrounded by such stalwarts has kept him grounded. “Having so many stars in the family really humbles you. I owe a lot to my family and never claim to be self-made. I am shaped by my directors, technicians, fans, and everyone who’s been part of my journey. I’m not shy about taking help — I believe in growing together, unapologetically.”
On the professional front, the National Award-winning actor is all set to team up with acclaimed director Atlee Kumar for his next big project, raising anticipation among fans and film lovers alike.
