If there was one big jolt to TDP in Chittoor district after the rise of Jagan and his YSRCP, it was none other than the exit of Praveen Kumar Reddy of Tamballapalli and Amarnath of Palamaner. Both are considered a very strong asset to the TDP in the Rayalaseema region.
Amarnath Reddy’s father N. Ramakrishna Reddy, one time MP of Chittoor was a TDP loyalist and an ardent follower of NTR and later Babu but his son left TDP when Naidu gave his letter consenting for Telangana in 2012.
Of course, that was only an excuse but the apparent intention was to join Jagan, anticipating a massive wave in favor of him. Although he won in the by election, in the general elections he had to bite the dust.
Now sources say that he is currently in discussion with TDP leaders for a gracious comeback to his parent party TDP very soon. He is a strong leader in Palamaner constituency. If this happens, it would be a big boost to TDP and a jolt to Jagan.
