Amazon Prime Video Takes Full Control Over Hari Hara Veera Mallu Release After Another Delay

The much-anticipated release of Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu has been postponed once again from its originally scheduled date of June 12th, marking yet another delay for the project.

Reports indicate that this latest postponement has impacted the film’s financial arrangements, particularly with Amazon Prime Video, the film’s digital streaming partner. During a previous delay, the OTT platform reportedly reduced its deal value by Rs 5 crore. With the current rescheduling, Amazon Prime Video has not only further scaled down its financial commitment but has also asserted greater control over the film’s release strategy.

Unlike earlier stages where the filmmakers retained some influence over the theatrical release date, sources reveal that Amazon Prime Video now exercises full authority in determining the film’s theatrical launch. The platform’s decision on the release schedule will be guided exclusively by its internal content strategy and preferred streaming windows, rather than the producers’ timelines or preferences.

Consequently, the fate of Hari Hara Veera Mallu’s theatrical release no longer lies in the hands of the filmmakers but is firmly controlled by Amazon Prime Video. This shift underscores the growing influence OTT platforms have on film distribution and release planning in the evolving entertainment landscape.
