They are asking what would have happened if K Balachander was born in the USA and became a filmmaker.
They state that if a director like K Balachander is from Hollywood, he would have won multiple Oscar awards and would have gone past the league of Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola and other legends. Till date, he is deemed as one of India’s greatest directors. True to that, all the best directors of today’s time admire him a lot and take him as the cue for inspiration.
Not to forget, it is mainly because of K Balachander that Indian cinema is blessed with iconic superstars like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. In fact, he is the same man responsible to bring Prakash Raj into limelight. He was their mentor in many ways. Well, we should thank God that KB was born in India and that too in south then.
