According to the latest survey by the premier American survey agency, Sustainable Development Solutions Network, Andhra Pradesh is coping with the huge losses incurred during the state division and is still managing to put up a bright smile on its face. The details revealed in the survey are crucial in determining the government’s administration and policies.
As per the survey’s Happiness Index, the people from the districts surrounding the capital region, Krishna, Guntur and East and West Godavari districts are the happiest, thanks to their carefree attitudes in facing challenges. People from these regions are said to be the most eloquent and laidback with prompt responses to any kind of challenges.
Following the above districts are the Rayalaseema and south coastal regions, which are found to be complacent and dejected. People from these regions opine that their region’s development will not see much progress since the capital city has been given away to the coastal region.
Coming to the northern region, people belonging to Visakhapatnam and Uttarandhra regions all the dejected lot since the HudHud Cyclone. Many people are under gross ignorance and away from the social outreach and develomental activities. The survey opines that Vizag and Kakinada can become important economic zones an that Vizag can compete with the developed cities like Mysore and other sothern cities.
In this global survey that was conducted among 150 countries, India ranked 117 in several topics like communication psyche, financial stability, working conditions, hospitality and soft skills etc.
