“Back then, we never really knew what the next day would bring,” Anasuya said, describing the unpredictability of that chapter in their lives.
She also touched on more personal memories, including her father’s unfulfilled hope of having a son. “We were three daughters. He always hoped for a boy,” she admitted, not with bitterness, but with clarity and understanding. She spoke of him as a man who was generous to the less fortunate, often giving land to the poor and staying involved in social work.
Sudarshan Rao passed away in 2021 after battling cancer. “I learned discipline from him. I love him,” Anasuya said simply—her words carrying the quiet weight of love, loss, and acceptance.
