After facing serious financial setbacks between 2019 and 2024 under a reckless administration, Andhra Pradesh is now on a path of revival under the NDA government. Spearheading this turnaround is Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who has made it a priority to attract private sector investments by ensuring the “Speed of Doing Business” becomes a reality in the state.
In just nine months, the results are already visible. According to a report by the Bank of Baroda Research Group, Andhra Pradesh now leads the country in attracting private sector investment prospects, accounting for a remarkable 15.3% of the total nationwide interest — the highest among all Indian states, surpassing even economic heavyweights like Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.
This surge is a reflection of the growing confidence in the state’s governance, infrastructure, and future-oriented policies. Highlighting this achievement, Nara Lokesh tweeted, “Proud moment for Andhra Pradesh! Our state tops the nation, attracting 15.3% of the total domestic private sector industrial investment in FY25. This is a strong testament to the trust in our governance, robust infrastructure, and future-ready vision under Chandrababu garu’s leadership. The best is yet to come.”
The positive momentum is further underscored by major developments: the entry of global players like TCS, Lulu Group, Infosys, and agreements with tech giants such as Microsoft and CISCO for setting up AI development hubs in the state.

In stark contrast to the previous regime — which deterred investors through policies like reverse tendering — the current NDA government has actively rolled out the red carpet for investors. As a market analyst noted, “The difference is night and day. While the former government pushed businesses away, the current leadership is in overdrive to welcome them.”
Andhra Pradesh’s resurgence story is well underway — and it’s only the beginning.
