A third year BTech student committed suicide by jumping from the third floor of the University building in Chennai. The victim took the extreme step for imposing Rs 10,000 fine on him.
Sainath, hailed from Vijayawada, was pursuing engineering from SRM University in Chennai. Upset with the University management’s decision to impose fine on him, the college student committed suicide.
The incident took place hardly one month after Radha Mounika from Andhra Pradesh hanged to death herself in her hostel room Satyabhama University in Chennai. She took extreme step for not not allowing her to attend the final exams.
