Heroine Anjali did not appear in the defamation case filed by Tamil director Kalanjiyam in the court, honouring the summons.
The Saidapet court took serious note of her absence and strictly warned her. Giving her another opportunity, the court directed her to appear on June 5, inevitably. The court warned that a non-bailable warrant would have to be issued against her ,if she ignored this summon.
It may be recalled that Anjali charged that her aunt Bharati Devi and Kalanjiyam have been using her like an ATM card and using her hard earned money for their luxuries. Kalanjiyam filed the defamation case over her charges.
