RTC from the beginning is in huge losses and when the management is breaking its head on how to come out of its debts, it is suffering from another headache. The cause for its new headache is the Union Government’s scheme of Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission.
According to the mission, RTC is plying new buses in the scheme by spending a whopping amount. Though the buses cost the management a bomb with each costing Rs 15 lakhs, they are giving very less mileage and collections.
Now with Telangana Govt planning to acquire more buses even as it finding hard to dispose the existing buses due to non availability of buyers, employees are lamenting how can RTC come out of losses with such decisions.
