Celebrities always attract attention, but when it comes to actresses, even the smallest things they do often turn into sensational topics. Without considering their struggles, people are quick to make negative comments and trolls. While some actresses take such remarks to heart, others choose to ignore them completely.
Recently, Kerala beauty Anupama Parameswaran opened up about this issue during the promotions of her upcoming film Parada, which is set to release on August 22 under the direction of Praveen Kandregula. Anupama revealed that she has now stopped paying attention to social media comments.
She shared that in the early days of her career, she used to read every single comment on her posts and felt deeply hurt by negative ones. But with experience, she realized how small and insignificant such remarks really are. Now, she focuses only on expressing what she wants to share, without worrying about the reactions.
Citing her experience with Tillu Square, Anupama said she faced plenty of negative comments about both her role and performance before the release. However, after the film hit theatres, her character and acting received wide appreciation. She added that she knowingly took on the challenging role of Lilly, fully aware that negativity would surface during promotions. According to her, it’s only through such roles that an actress can grow to the next level.
Anupama also pointed out that during Tillu Square promotions, she was asked many uncomfortable questions, something that usually happens only with heroines. She feels the reason behind this is that such controversial questions directed at actresses generate more views for the media. Answering those tricky questions at the time was quite difficult, she admitted.
