The absence of Sweety Anushka Shetty in the promotions of her upcoming film Ghaati has been noticeable, but the team is banking on the film’s strong content to build buzz. At a recent press meet, the makers shared insights into the movie while also clarifying that Anushka’s decision to skip physical promotions was purely personal—and one they respect.
Even though she isn’t attending promotional events, Anushka is ensuring her presence is felt online. She recently shared an AI-generated fan-made video on X, where her face was morphed into a child’s avatar named little Sheelavati, asking audiences to watch the film. Delighted, Anushka reposted it with a heartfelt note:
“And time and again you all never fail to bring a smile on my face. Thank you so much for all the love and support always… and thank you for this cutest version of our little Sheelavati. See you in theatres from September 5th.”
At the press meet, director Krish Jagarlamudi expressed complete confidence in Anushka’s performance, stating, “We do not need Anushka for promotions as we have Anushka’s performance.” His words highlight the faith the team has in the film’s strength and Anushka’s screen presence.
With the trailer already creating a solid buzz in industry circles, expectations around Ghaati are running high. The film is set for a grand release on September 5th, and the makers are optimistic that Anushka’s powerful performance will speak louder than any promotional campaign.
